Dr. S. Jenny Klein
Dr. Klein earned her Doctorate in Psychology from Long Island University-Post and served as Licensed Clinical Psychologist and Unit Coordinator at New York Health + Hospitals/Jacobi Inpatient Unit before entering private practice. Paving the way to her current role, is a broad scope of experiences working with individuals from adolescents to senior adults dealing with anxiety, depression, burnout, parenting stress, trauma, personality disorders, psychosis, and bipolar disorder. Having been formally trained in both cognitive behavioral and psychodynamic approaches, Dr. Klein takes an integrative and tailored approach to providing care to her clients.
As an Intern at Zucker Hillside Hospital/Northwell Hospital, Dr. Klein provided individual therapy and led skills groups using DBT-informed interventions for adolescents at high risk for self-harm and suicide, in addition to providing support and psychoeducation to families. As part of the Outpatient Perinatal team, she worked with mothers and spouses adjusting to the emotional changes and stressors of parenthood. Dr. Klein also worked closely with senior adults in the Partial Hospital Program as they transitioned back to their lives after an acute mental health episode and hospitalization.
